Stefan Szymczak was the recipient this year of the Kevin Yorath Memorial Award. The award, in the form of an engraved crystal rose bowl was presented to Stefan by Frank Wood, President, at the NACO Annual General Meeting on 17 May 2006.

This award was established by the General Council to commemorate the exceptional contribution that the late Kevin Yorath made to NACO over a period of 23 years when he served as Assistant General Secretary. No one exemplifies the qualities of commitment and service better than Stefan.
