In accordance with Rule 9 of the National Association of Co-operative Officials, an election for seats on the General Council will be held in 2010.

Rule 9(i) confirms that in 2010 the five Co-operative Group Class seats and the three All Others Class seats receiving the least number of votes in the 2009 election would be open for re-election. This was confirmed as General Council Group A.

The sitting candidates of General Council Group A are:

Anita Young

All Others Class
Matt Arrowsmith
Malcolm Rutherford
Alan Tattler

All these sitting members are eligible for re-election although Roger Davies, Malcolm Rutherford and Matt Arrowsmith have confirmed that they will not be seeking re-election on this occasion.

These seats can be filled by any Full or Individual Representation Only member of NACO and we would ask that your Constituent Association canvass for candidates to fill these vacancies.

The closing date for the receipt of completed nomination forms is Wednesday 10 March and forms should be sent to our head office. Should a ballot be required, we will write to members individually with the appropriate ballot forms.
